This Cancellation and Refund Policy ("Cancellation Policy") is incorporated into the EventsREZ Services Agreement applicable to use of the Services and the Platform. Please read this policy carefully. You may not use the Services if you do not agree to this Cancellation and Refund Policy.
EventsREZ permits Restaurants to upload their own cancellation and refund policies for inclusion in their Listings. These Restaurant-uploaded policies will supersede the EventsREZ standard Cancellation and Refund Policy starting 14 calendar days prior to the scheduled Event. From that point forward, Guests must adhere to the Restaurant's uploaded terms, and any refund or cancellation requests must be handled directly with the Restaurant. EventsREZ is not responsible for the content or enforcement of Restaurant-uploaded policies.
Refunds during the 14-day window are solely governed by the Restaurant's cancellation policy. EventsREZ does not mediate refund disputes within this window. Refund decisions made by the Restaurant are final and not subject to override by EventsREZ.
The Guest's payment method is charged 14 calendar days prior to the scheduled Event date (or immediately upon Restaurant confirmation, for Bookings made less than 14 calendar days before the Event). At the moment of charge:
The EventsREZ Service Fee is non-refundable from the moment of charge in the event of any Guest-initiated cancellation, regardless of the reason for cancellation, except in the case of a documented Force Majeure event as described in Section 5.3 of the Services Agreement. Refunds of the Food and Beverage Minimum, if any, are governed solely by the Restaurant's uploaded cancellation policy and must be requested directly from the Restaurant. EventsREZ will not mediate or override refund decisions made by the Restaurant within the 14-day window.
All Bookings are subject to EventsREZ's Grace Period policy. For Bookings made 14 or more calendar days prior to the Event, the Guest's payment method is authorized (held) at booking submission but is not charged. If the Guest cancels the Booking more than 14 calendar days before the Event, the authorization hold is released and no charge is made to the Guest's payment method. The Guest pays nothing in this scenario. Bookings made less than 14 calendar days prior to the Event are charged upon Restaurant confirmation and are not subject to the Grace Period; cancellation of these Bookings is governed by the Restaurant's uploaded cancellation policy.
In the event a Guest initiates a credit card chargeback for a Booking, EventsREZ reserves the right to recover those funds from the Restaurant and may suspend the Restaurant's access to the Platform pending investigation.
EventsREZ is designed to help Restaurants and Guests efficiently and conveniently complete Bookings. Every Booking represents a binding commitment by the Restaurant to make a Private Room available and by the Guest to fulfill payment and use obligations. This policy outlines how cancellations and refunds are handled when plans change.
This EventsREZ Cancellation Policy covers all cancellations and refunds on the Platform. Both Guests and Restaurants are subject to and must comply with this Cancellation Policy when canceling a Booking.
We reserve the right to amend this Cancellation Policy for any reason and at any time by posting an updated version to our website as provided in the EventsREZ Services Agreement. In the event of conflict between this Cancellation Policy and the EventsREZ Services Agreement, the EventsREZ Services Agreement takes precedence. The only terms applicable to any Cancellation are those then currently in effect at the time the Booking is made, or at the time of any subsequent amendments to a Booking.
A Booking is only officially cancelled once the Guest has received confirmation of the cancellation from EventsREZ (for cancellations outside the 14-day window) or from the Restaurant (for cancellations inside the 14-day window) via notification or email communication.
Cancellation requests for Bookings outside the 14-day window must be submitted through the "Cancel Booking" function on the Platform. Cancellation requests via phone, email, or chat will not be processed for cancellations outside the 14-day window.
Cancellation requests for Bookings inside the 14-day window must be made via direct communication with the Restaurant. Refund disputes inside the 14-day window must be handled according to the Restaurant's uploaded policy. Refund decisions made by the Restaurant or based on their uploaded policy are final and not subject to EventsREZ review or override.
Any Restaurant- or Vendor-initiated cancellation will be fully refunded to the Guest, including the EventsREZ Service Fee and any paid Add-Ons, regardless of whether the Guest's payment method has been charged. If the payment method has not yet been charged at the time of Restaurant cancellation (i.e., the cancellation occurs more than 14 calendar days before the Event), the authorization hold is released. If the payment method has already been charged, EventsREZ will issue a full refund to the Guest's original payment method within seven (7) business days. The Restaurant responsible for the cancellation will be liable to EventsREZ for the Service Fee component of any refund issued after the charge, recoverable from the Restaurant's future payouts or by direct invoice.
Bookings may be rescheduled by the Restaurant through the EventsREZ platform at no additional fee to the Guest. Guests requesting to reschedule outside the 14-day window (before the charge has occurred) should cancel the current Booking and rebook through the website for the new date; no charges or fees apply during this period.
Guests requesting to reschedule inside the 14-day window (after the charge has occurred) must contact the Restaurant directly to negotiate a new date. Any rescheduling agreed inside the 14-day window does not entitle the Guest to a refund of the EventsREZ Service Fee, which remains applied to the rescheduled Event. Refunds or credits of the Food and Beverage Minimum in connection with rescheduling are at the sole discretion of the Restaurant and governed by the Restaurant's uploaded cancellation policy.
